163rd Big Butler Fair runs Friday to July 7
FRANKLIN TWP — The 163rd Big Butler Fair will feature fireworks, a midway, games, demolition derbies, concerts, truck pulls, livestock judging and various arts competitions.
The fair opens at 10 a.m. Friday and at 9 a.m. all other days.
The carnival rides open at 3 p.m. weekdays and at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and the Fourth of July.
New to the fair this year are a Blacksmith Show and a Royal Bengal Tiger Show.
Daily entertainment includes Bar C Ranch Camel Ride, a Butterfly Exhibit, comedy hypnotist Brad Matchette, wood carver Dennis Beach, a petting zoo and Syria Shrine Clowns. Some events incur an added fee.
Saturday only there will be a shooting on horseback exhibition in the Roper's Ring.
Musical entertainment will feature concerts by Dylan Scott, Sam Grow, Frank Vieira, Joe Patrick and Four on the Floor Band, and Neal McCoy.
Look for a free giant sundae on July 5, and a mud bog along with a chain-saw woodcarving live auction on July 6.
Fair admission ranges from $7 to $9, and children age 6 and younger are admitted free. Single, all-day ride bands cost $20.
