The Slippery Rock Sliders plated three runs in the top of the eighth inning to post a 5-2 victory over the host Chillicothe Paints Monday in Prospect League play.

David Leon and Steve Sulcoski had a single and two RBI apiece while Michael Durham added a double and two runs scored while Fred Ford collected two singles, all for Slippery Rock (8-14).

Kevin Jurkatis, who allowed one run on two hits in 1X\c innings of work, picked up the win in relief of Jeff Barto, who tossed six innings and limited the Paints to one run on five hits.

Chase Byerly threw the final 1⅓ innings to earn the save.

Chillicothe (10-13) received a home run from Steve Anderson and two hits apiece from Drew Dosch and Justin Trent.
