Julia McCafferty

Julia A. McCafferty, 91, of Sarver, passed away on Aug. 5, 2021, at Quality Life Services in Sarver.

Born Nov. 15, 1929, in Freeport, she was the daughter of Romano "Frank" Ballina and Lydia (Howard) Ballina.

Julia is survived by three children, Donna (Rich) Hank of Sarver, Robert (Rajean) McCafferty of Fort Mohave, Ariz., and Diana Goslin of Chicora; four grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick) Driscoll, Bryant Hank, Jerry Baker and Michelle (Gibrian) Milbauer; two great-grandchildren, Giada and Gibrian Milbauer; and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester McCafferty, who passed away on June 1, 2004; three brothers; three sisters; and her precious dog and best friend, Smokey, who passed away a month ago.

We love you and this is not goodbye — just so long until we meet again. Rest in Peace.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, aides, custodians, and all of the staff at Quality Life Services in Sarver, and Three Rivers Hospice for the great care given to Mom and how kind they all were to both Mom and us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

MCCAFFERTY — Private visitation for Julia A. McCafferty, who died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, will be held at FOX FUNERAL HOME in Saxonburg.

In celebration of Julia's life and her love of animals, and in memory of her beloved best friend, Smokey, adopted from the no kill animal shelter, donations are requested to Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter (Hope Fund), P.O. Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201, or through their website or Facebook page in her memory. Thank you.

Julia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Chester, in the Sarverville Cemetery.
