Get ready for Round 3.

Logan Pistorius singled to right field with two outs and the bases loaded in the ninth inning Wednesday night, handing unbeaten Karns City a come-from-behind, 5-4 victory over Moniteau at Kelly Automotive Park.

Moniteau (14-4) took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh and a 4-3 advantage into the bottom of the ninth — and couldn't hold either one of them.

With Hunter Fitzingo on the mound, it looked like that lead might stand up.

He never got the chance.

Fitzingo's knee buckled during a warm-up toss and he crumpled to the ground. He had to be helped from the field and had a large ice pack strapped to the knee after the game.

Chance Nagy relieved Fitzingo and surrendered back-to-back doubles to Cameron Blair and Jake Weckerly with one out to tie the game.

The KC victory on Senior Night snapped a 13-game Warrior winning streak and marked the Gremlins' second 5-4 decision over its neighboring rival this season.

Karns City completed a perfect regular season.

The teams will meet again May 24 at Kelly Automotive Park in the District 9 championship game.
