6 SkillsUSA winners move on to state level

BUTLER TWP — Students who won events at a recent SkillsUSA District 10 competition will compete at the state level in Hershey in April.

The following students will represent the Butler County Vocational Technical School.

In the Butler School District, senior Josh McGinley won the precision machine technology contest in the machine technology program; junior Ashley Douthett won the action skills competition in the cosmetology program; and junior Jacob Tosi won the sheet metal competition in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning program.

In the South Butler School District, senior Devin Michael won the first aid/cardiopulmonary resuscitation competition in the protective services program, and junior Chelsea Moser won the health occupations professional portfolio in the health assistant program competition.

Slippery Rock School District senior Kayla Kopp won the advertising and design competition in the commercial art program.
