UPMC hosts virtual 'Breast Health' workshop

UPMC St. Margaret and the St. Margaret Foundation are hosting a free virtual Alive & Well health presentation at 10 a.m. June 8.

Participants will learn about self-breast awareness and how to identify any changes in breast tissue.

Dr. Emilia Diego — a surgical oncologist at UPMC St. Margaret, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and UPMC East — will discuss early detection, risk factors, prevention information and advanced treatments in breast cancer.

Using a “Q&A” feature, questions can be submitted privately any time during the live presentation.

Getting regular breast cancer screenings is one of the most important things you can do to keep your breasts healthy.

Registration is available at UPMC.com/VirtualEvents. Once registered, a confirmation email with access to view the virtual presentation will be sent.
