Carolyn Jean Sisley

Carolyn Jean Sisley, 75, of Gambier, Ohio, passed away March 17, 2021, at Knox Community Hospital.

She was born Oct. 31, 1945, in Butler, and was the daughter of Ralph E. and Leona C. (Yost) Dietrich, and her stepmother, Cynthia Pierce.

Carolyn was a member of the Fredericktown Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was a professional seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, taking care of her flower beds and feeding and watching the birds.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Mark W. Sisley, whom she married Feb. 19, 1977; three sons, Matthew, Adam and Brian Sisley; her sisters and brothers, Evelyn (Len) Oesterling, Phyllis Donmoyer, Chester Dietrich, Edna Mae (Don) Neff, Vera Angles, Carl Dietrich, Howard Dietrich, Winifred (Denny) Hiles, Kathleen (John) Sherman and Rose (Tom) Mainhart; and a number of nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Cynthia Pierce, and one brother, Glenn Dietrich.

SISLEY — There will be no services at this time for Carolyn Jean Sisley, who died Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

A burial in Martinsburg Cemetery will take place later.

The Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ohio, is assisting with funeral arrangements.
