CRANBERRY TWP — Cranberry Township Police and EMS responded to a pedestrian struck at the intersection of Commonwealth Drive and Pennwood Place Thursday afternoon.

According to Cranberry police, a man believed to be in his 20s was turning left from Commonwealth onto Pennwood when he struck a male pedestrian in the crosswalk.

The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. The victim was transported to Allegheny General Hospital via ambulance with head injuries. He was conscious and speaking, according to police.

The driver was not injured.

Traffic from Commonwealth onto Pennwood was momentarily stopped while the police waited at the scene for a tow truck.

The incident is under investigation.
