Walter L. Barnett

Walter L. “Sonny” Barnett, 78, of Worthington, went home to Heaven early Wednesday morning, Dec. 8, 2021, at Newhaven Court at Clearview in Butler.

Sonny was born on Dec. 27, 1942, in Kittanning, and was the son of the late Leyman V. and Virginia (Lockhart) Barnett.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Patricia A. “Patty” (Jochinek) Barnett, whom he married on March 11, 1966.He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam.Sonny owned and operated Allegheny Heat Treatment for more than 20 years.He enjoyed socializing with friends, golfing and NASCAR racing.In addition to his wife, Sonny is survived by two daughters, Cathie L. Coyle and her husband, Jim, of Chicora, and Jacqueline L. Barnett of Kittanning; his brother, Terry A. Barnett, and his wife, Kathryn, of Greensburg; his sister, Colleen R.
