Steelers chairman Dan Rooney dead at 84
Dan Rooney, former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland and Pittsburgh Steelers chairman, has a Q & A session in a new meeting room at the Cranberry Public Library in 2014.
Pittsburgh Steelers owner Daniel M. Rooney died Thursday at age 84, the team announced on its website.
He took over as chairman of the team in 2003 from his father Art Rooney, who was the team's founder.
Rooney had also served as the United States ambassador to Ireland.
Rooney was inducted in the NFL Hall of Fame in 2000.
