Larry Lee Cogley
Larry Lee Cogley, 74, of Bruin, went to be with the Lord at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, May 12, 2021, while in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Butler. He was the son of the late Culberson John “Cub” and Valjean Ruth Gray Cogley.
He was a 1964 graduate of Karns City Area High School.
He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and had attained top security clearance transcribing morse code for the Army Security Agency.In his early years, he had been employed by Country Bell Dairy in Butler as a milkman. Larry retired as a lab technician from Indspec in Petrolia following more than 35 years of service.In his early years, he had attended the Bruin Methodist Church.He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, most recently his Can-Am Spyder. He also enjoyed bicycling and taking walks with his nieces, nephews and the neighborhood kids.Larry was very generous with his time, and was always ready, willing and able to help anyone in need.He is survived by his wife, Rosella Caecilia Jezewski Cogley, whom he married at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church in Aliquippa on Dec. 17, 1966.Also surviving are two sons, Larry L. “Babas” Cogley Jr. and his husband, Paul Ruszcynski, of Provincetown, Mass., and Christopher A. “Chris” Cogley and his wife, Courtney, of Fredonia; two grandchildren, Ethan Gabriel and Joshua Andrew Cogley; three sisters, Linda L. Milliren and her husband, Robert L. “Bob,” of Bruin, Sally S. Henry and her husband, Patrick “Rick” of Keller, Texas, and Sheri L. Smith and her husband, Kevin P., of Bruin; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Ray.COGLEY — Friends of Larry Lee Cogley, who died Wednesday, May 12, 2021, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City.A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora, with the Rev.
