PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed 2021 Competitive Balance B round selection Lonnie White Jr. to a contract.

White, 18, was the 64th overall selection in the draft. He was a three-sport athlete at Malvern Preparatory School in Pennsylvania, where he hit .395 with 11 doubles, five homers and 26 stolen bases this season.

Perfect Game rated White the No. 2 player in Pennsylvania in the class of 2021.
