Martha J. Stevenson
Martha J. Stevenson, 85, of Saxonburg, formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday.
She was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Butler, to the late Edna Mae Gibson.
Martha worked as HR manager for JCPenney Co. for more than 30 years.
She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family and continued to do so throughout retirement.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Sheri) Stevenson of Chicora; two daughters, Paula Bauer of Saxonburg, and Patty Stevenson of Parrish, Fla.; four grandchildren, Keith Bauer, Rachel (Kalyn) Rice, Sandy (Nick) Slomer and Donald (Katie) Stevenson; and four great- grandchildren, Meredith Rice, Sawyer Rice, Weston Slomer and Eryka Slomer.
In addition to her mother, Martha was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Howard J. “Sye” Stevenson, whom she married April 14, 1955, and who passed away June 18, 1991; and her best friend, Dolores Wulff.
