Laura Maude Bailey Wigton

Laura Maude Bailey Wigton, 92, of Butler passed away Sunday at Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.

She was born April 2, 1926, in Harrison Township, and was the daughter of the late Lewis S. Brink and the late Laura M. Ellwood Brink.

Laura was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was a homemaker and worked for various drug stores in the Butler area.

Laura enjoyed bingo and square dancing.

Laura is survived by her three sons, Lester Bailey of Butler, Dave (Donna) Bailey of Butler and Paul (Barb) Bailey of Butler; one daughter, Peggy (Bill) Thompson of Butler; 15 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Bailey who passed away on Dec. 11, 1981; her second husband, Elmer Wigton, who passed away on July 1, 2001, and two sons, George Bailey and Frank Bailey.

WIGTON — There will be no public visitation for Laura Maude Bailey Wigton, who died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.A private funeral service was held Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Barbara Stoehr of First United Methodist Church officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to VNA, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001, or Saxony Health Center, 223 Pittsburgh St., Saxonburg, PA 16056.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
