Pickup truck flips over, then teeters on guardrail
ADAMS TWP — A pickup truck crashed Tuesday morning on Mars Valencia Road, sending its driver to a hospital.
Butler County 911 dispatchers issued the call around 8:10 a.m. to 440 Mars Valencia Road for a pickup rolled over a guardrail with a person trapped inside.
According to Adams Township police, the driver was heading south when he lost control of the pickup. Police said the truck flipped over the guardrail and teetered on it with its bed upright into the air.
According to Adams Township firefighters at the scene, an ambulance crew helped the driver, who was the lone occupant of the truck, get out through the window.
Police said the driver was taken by Quality Ambulance Service to Allegheny General Hospital with unknown injuries.
Firefighters from both Adams Township and Callery departments blocked traffic on Mars Valencia Road between its intersections with Babcock Boulevard and Camp Trees Road.
The scene was cleared of debris, and traffic resumed around 8:57 a.m.
