Dorothy Mae Geist

Dorothy Mae Geist, 87, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born April 18, 1934, in East Orwell, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Clair M. Geist and the late Della Marie Voland Geist.

Dorothy was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She worked as a housekeeper in the Butler area, until she was 83 years old. Some of the families she worked with for many years.

She is survived by her niece, Kimberly (William) Minto of Lyndora; her nephew, Randy (Catherine) Frye of Clearwater, Fla.; four great-nieces; one great-nephew; two great-great-nieces; and seven great-great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; one sister; and one nephew.

GEIST — As per her request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services for Dorothy Mae Geist, who died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021.

Private burial will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, Butler.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, PA 16001.
