Bercurys succeed with Blue Ivy

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Blue Ivy, trained by Bill Bercury and owned by Renee Bercury, both of Slippery Rock, won the $17,600 Filly & Mare Open Handicap Pace during harness racing action Wednesday at The Meadows.

Blue Ivy’s win was the 28th of her career and lifted her career bankroll to $468,395.

Elsewhere on the card, Brady Brown of Slippery Rock drove Red Dirt Star to victory in a $5,400 Claiming Pace.

Driver Shawn Johnston and Aaron Johnston, both of Evans City, got to the winners’ circle with Nez Blanc in a $10,100 Conditioned Trot.
