Verna M. Bauer

Verna M. Bauer, 96, of Middlesex Township, formerly of Millvale, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 24, 2021, at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

Born Feb. 12, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Teresa Werwie Mihlfried.

A homemaker, Verna had also worked as a secretary for PPG.

She was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Millvale.

She was the mother of Janet Scherer (Dale W.) of Middlesex Township; grandmother of Lindsay Sutter (Zak) and Erin Scherer; and the great- grandmother of Max and Connor Sutter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Bauer, who died on Nov. 24, 1994; and by a brother, Vincent Mihlfried.

BAUER — Arrangements for Verna M. Bauer, who died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, are private and are under the direction of McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
