Doris Louise Smith

Doris Louise Smith, 80, of Butler passed away Thursday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Butler, the daughter of the late Earl A. Hahn Sr. and Anna Stepp Hahn.

Doris was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Saxonburg Lion’s Club, Saxonburg Ladies Auxiliary and the Butler Country and Western Association.

Doris worked in food service at Clinton and Saxonburg elementary schools for many years. She enjoyed camping, going on trips with her sisters and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (Larry) Miller of Pittsburgh and Lisa (Joseph) Hughes of Renfrew; four grandchildren, Dylan Miller of Pittsburgh, Dustin (Gina) Miller of Tulsa, Okla., and Quinn Hughes and Haydn Hughes, both of Renfrew; five sisters, Janet (Jerry) Hoffman of Kennerdell, Diane Geohring of Saxonburg, Rose (John) Terlisner of Texas, Becky (Jim) Bianchi of Butler and Patty (Skip) Daum of Butler; one brother, Rick (Chris) Hahn of Chicora; and one aunt, Beverly Lascoult of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Leroy Smith; her brother, Earl A. Hahn Jr.; and her companion of many years, Lou Bender.

SMITH — Friends of Doris Louise Smith, who died Thursday, March 9, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. A prayer service will be at 3 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Harry Bielewicz officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
