Mars school bus driver found not guilty of summary charges

This was the scene Sept. 24 when a bus carrying Mars students went off the side of Route 228.

The driver of the Mars School District bus that went over a guardrail and down a Route 228 embankment, leaving six students with minor injuries, was found not guilty of both summary traffic offenses she was charged with following the Sept. 24 accident.

Sandra Boehler, 51, of Gibsonia was found not guilty of accidents involving an overturned vehicle and careless driving by Magisterial District Judge Wayne Seibel at a summary trial Thursday, according to court records.
