Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will be the site of a Spring Wildflower Walk at 2 p.m. Sunday, and no registration is needed. Moraine, McConnells Mill, Jennings Commission (3MJC) will present Introduction to Disc Golf at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Moraine State Park, Muddy Creek Township will be the site ofa disc golf volunteer workday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lakeview Disc Golf Course; for questions email discgolf@zoominternet.net. McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, just over the county line into Lawrence County off Route 422, will be the site of a Gristmill Greeter Training Day from 9 to 11 a.m. May 19.
Star Parties, sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh, will begin at about 8:45 p.m. May 18 and 19, weather permitting, at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, near the village of Russellton, Frazer Township, Allegheny County. Call 724-224-2510.
