Robert Ellenberger
Robert L. Ellenberger, 84, of Butler, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at home surrounded by family, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.
Born in Butler on Aug. 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Camden and Dorothy (Kildoo) Ellenberger.
He graduated from Butler, then attended Arlington Baptist Seminary in Texas, and BC3 school of Nursing. He was an inspector at Magnetics for 42 years and operated a greenhouse business for many years.
Robert was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord, his family, animals and flowers. He married the love of his life, Marlene (Brown), on Aug. 29, 1958. The couple celebrated 53 years of marriage before Marlene’s passing on Oct. 31, 2011.
Together, Robert and Marlene had four sons, the late James (Michelle), David (fiancé Dana Frances), Donald (Nicolette), and Robert (Sherry) Ellenberger. They were blessed with five grandchildren, Justin, Jesse, Jason, Timothy, and Rachel. Robert is also survived by a brother, Charles.
In addition to his parents, wife and son, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Raymond.

Ellenberger — A beautiful funeral was held privately on Jan. 31, 2021, officiated by Pastor Richard Jenks for Robert L. Ellenberger, who died Friday Jan. 29, 2021.
Arrangements were through the Spencer D. Geibel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 140 New Castle Road, Butler, and Faith Fellowship Alliance Church
