Supervision revoked after more charges
A Penn Township man currently facing allegations that he dragged an off-duty police officer by his vehicle, as well as sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl, saw his pretrial supervision on a separate sexual assault case revoked in Butler County Court on Monday.
Judge William Shaffer revoked pretrial supervision for Lee J. Rapsinski, 20, and placed a $50,000 bail on the case. Rapsinski is now held in the Butler County Prison on a combined $150,000 bail.
The underlying charges come after state police charged Rapsinski with felony statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors and misdemeanor indecent exposure and indecent assault after having sex with a 14-year-old girl in a car at a church parking lot in Saxonburg on Jan. 7.
The violation of the pretrial supervision came when he was arrested in the two other cases, involving several charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and terroristic threats and underage drinking, among others, after an incident on Nov. 11, when state police said Rapsinski threatened a man with a knife during an altercation at Dinnerbell and Whitaker roads in Jefferson Township.
