Once again, the Eagle's mascot, Scoop, at left, will deliver letters from local children to Santa.

It’s time to put up the Christmas tree and have children start writing those letters to Santa.

Continuing its holiday tradition, the Butler Eagle will publish those letters to be enjoyed by readers before being flown to the North Pole by Eagle’s mascot, Scoop.

Letters need to be at the newspaper by Dec. 8. They can be sent by these methods:

Drop them off at the Butler Eagle office, 214 W. Diamond St., where a special mail box is stationed.
