Conor Lamb

HARRISBURG — Democratic U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb declared victory Wednesday in a Pittsburgh-area congressional district.

Among the races yet uncalled by The Associated Press is the one in the 17th Congressional District, where Lamb faces Republican Sean Parnell. Parnell is a decorated Army vet who is a regular guest on Fox News programs and is known for his memoir on the war in Afghanistan and authoring two action novels. He got a speaking slot at the Republican National Convention and campaign stump shout-outs from Trump.

Lamb said he was confident in declaring victory outside a union hall late Wednesday, flanked by posters that said “We did it” and “You did it.”
