Minnie P. Parton
Minnie P. Parton, 95, of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center formerly of Slippery Rock passed away Tuesday.
Minnie was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Templeton Pa., and was the daughter of Westly and Susie Harriger.
Minnie married Frank R. Parton in July of 1942. Together, the couple had two children, Beverly and Ken.
Minnie was a devoted housewife and mother. She enjoyed her family and preparing meals and baking pies and rolls. Her grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren all looked forward to her baked goods.
Minnie was the oldest living member of the Friendship Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.
She was an avid sewer and loved quilting and embroidery.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Eagal) Parton of Butler; her son, Ken Parton and his wife, Marcia, of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; one sister; and four brothers.
Minnie's family would like to thank Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion shown to Minnie, especially the staff on the Sunflower Floor.
PARTON — The family of Minnie P. Parton, who died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 N.
