A crash around 7 a.m. Tuesday between a tractor-trailer and a car has reportedly left one person dead and a portion of Route 268 closed between Emlenton and Foxburg in Armstrong County, authorities said.

State police accident reconstruction specialists are at the scene. No other information about the wreck was immediately available.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene but was later diverted to Grove City Medical Center. Emlenton Area Ambulance and Karns City Regional Ambulance were called to assist.

Also called were volunteer firefighters from Emlenton, Parker and St. Petersburg, and PennDOT crews from Butler and Venango counties.
