Chamber to open site in Cranberry

Satellite location intended to help businesses in county's southwest

CRANBERRY TWP — The Butler County Chamber of Commerce is adding a satellite location in Cranberry Township.

Executive Director Jordan Grady announced the new location Monday.

Grady said in a few weeks, the Chamber will open an office in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center to further facilitate growing business in a thriving area.

“By being down here and having a presence down here, it'll hopefully help us move businesses forward,” Grady said.

Grady said the Chamber will share its space with Alliance for Nonprofit Resources.

“We have an outstanding office,” he said.

Grady said the office will allow the Chamber to conduct meetings with businesses in the southern part of the county without asking them to travel to Butler.

He said it also will be a good base of operation for its educational and networking events in the area.

Stan Kosciuszko, Chamber president, said the organization already has a good support network in northern Butler County because of its affiliation with the Slippery Rock Business Association.

He said the goal of the new location is to build upon a growing membership in southern Butler County.

“Butler County is a big county,” Kosciusko said. “It makes sense to have a physical presence down there.”

Grady said Chamber staff is hoping to be in the building within the next week or two with operations tentatively slated to begin Nov. 18.

According to Grady, the Chamber is hoping to staff the Cranberry location from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at least two days per week. He said additional availability could be possible through appointments.

The phone number for the Cranberry location will be 724-831-0637.

Grady said Cranberry Township is experiencing rapid growth, and the Chamber wants to be a part of it.

“There's some major economic growth occurring in that area,” Grady said. “We think it's important to be down there to aid in that growth and support the businesses down there.”
