Cynthia S. Noland
Cynthia “Cindy” S. Noland, 60, of West Sunbury, died on Sunday Jan. 3, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Oakland as a result of complications from COVID-19. Cindy was being visited and comforted by her children.
Born in Pittsburgh, Ms. Noland was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Audrey M. Ludolff of Wexford.
Cindy loved animals from an early age, raising rabbits, dogs, guinea pigs and the occasional Easter chick.
During her adolescence, Cindy trained horses, a passion she carried into her adult life. Throughout her time running a farm with her family in West Sunbury, Cindy actively participated in many show seasons at the Butler County Fair and Butler County Farm Show. She is fondly remembered as a “Fair Mother,” helping and caring for many youth participants.
Ms. Noland spent many years volunteering for Butler County 4-H, including organizing the West Sunbury Wranglers Horse Club, once receiving the 4-H Leader of the Year Award.
Ms. Noland was previously employed by Gentiva Health Services and Grove City Hospital.
Cindy had a very generous and kind heart. She loved to help and care for people, and is fondly remembered by her loved ones and those whom she befriended.
In recent years, Cindy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and encouraged their participation in sports and various club activities. She didn’t let her numerous health issues, or the pandemic interfere with her time spent with them, having regular video chats and phone conversations.
Ms. Noland is survived by two daughters, Audrey (Patrick) Wilson of West Middlesex and Ashley (Josh Peoples) Noland of Wampum; a son, John (Ann) Noland Jr. of Adamstown, Md.; a sister, Kimberly Sondej of Gibsonia; a brother, Charles Ludolff Jr. of Wexford; the father of her children, John Noland of Darlington; and four grandchildren, Genevieve, Kyla, John III and Atticus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Ludolff.
