Investigators believe a Kittanning man whose body was found Saturday in a Concord Township creek bed was killed in Butler Township.

“In the Lyndora area,” Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger said this morning. He declined to elaborate.

State police continue to investigate the slaying of 55-year-old Gregory W. Bosko, but Goldinger could not say if arrests are imminent.

“Interviews are continuing, we’re looking for the murder weapon and we’re trying to shore up the timeline,” he said.

Bosko turned up missing from Kittanning on March 20. Information provided to authorities led police to his body that was found in a creek near Redbud Road in Concord Township.

He was wearing a Rivers Casino jacket.

Butler County Coroner William Young III said the man’s throat had been slit “multiple times.” His death was ruled a homicide.

Police apparently did not know if Bosko’s neck was slashed with a knife.

“All we know,” Goldinger said, “is that it was some sort of sharp object.”

Bosko’s car — a white, 1991 Dodge Dynasty — was found March 24 in Butler. Inside the car was Joshua K. Greaves, 34, of Mercer, Mercer County; his girlfriend, Tiffany N. Hilliard, 30, of Butler; and a 29-year-old Butler woman.

But Butler police Deputy Chief David Adam said at the time police did not know Bosko was missing.

Police arrested Greaves because he was wanted by state parole officers. They also arrested Hilliard who had bench warrants out for her in two counties.

Additionally, they found three stamp bags of suspected heroin in Greaves’ wallet.

The other woman with the couple had no warrants and was released. Police allowed her to take the car.

Two days later, Adam said, Butler police learned that Kittanning police had put out a missing person advisory for Bosko.

Butler police called the Butler woman and advised her to bring the car to police. City officers later turned the car over to Kittanning police.

State police over the weekend got a sealed search warrant for the car.

Goldinger said Greaves and Hilliard are considered “persons of interest” in the homicide investigation.

There are no other persons of interest or suspects, he said. He would not say if Greaves or Hilliard are talking to investigators. They remain in the Butler County Prison. Neither has been charged in Bosko’s death.

Goldinger said authorities believe they have identified a motive for the killing but he declined to comment.

He said he did not know how long Bosko had known Greaves or Hilliard. They met, he said, “in the drug world.”
