Sharon Grafton

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister, Sharon Diane (Smith) Grafton, 71, of Worthington, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born March 30, 1950, in Brookville, and was the daughter of Doris Kammerdeiner and the late Richard “Dick” Smith.

Sharon was retired, and was a member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church.

She was a paramedic for over 30 years for the Worthington-West Franklin Volunteer Ambulance Service.

She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, swimming in her pool and going to beaches.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard Grafton of Worthington, whom she married Sept. 4, 1970; two daughters, Sonja McClain and Renee Grafton, both of Worthington; two granddaughters, Jessica McClain and Kyle Adams of Kittanning, and Alexis Husar and Tyler Wilhelm of Kittanning; her grandson, Troy “TJ” McClain Jr., and his wife, Kylie, of Freeport; two great-granddaughters, Raelynn and Ember McClain of Freeport; her mother, Doris Kammerdeiner of Florida; three sisters, Rhoda Del Radin of Georgia, Sue Ellen Greer and her husband, Randy, of Brookville, and Teddi Lynn Hilderbrand and her husband, Monroe, of Georgia; her brother-in-law, Donald Grafton, and his wife, Virginia, of Kittanning; her sister-in-law, Kathy Carlesi of Kittanning; her sister-in-law, Cindy Claypool, and her husband, Jerry, of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Stanley “Jum” Kammerdeiner; her father, Richard “Dick” Smith; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren and Mildred Grafton.

GRAFTON — Friends of Sharon Diane (Smith) Grafton, who died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, will be received on from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington.

A fire/EMS service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Hindman officiating.

Interment will be held in Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.
