Alice Spinneweber
Alice Marie Spinneweber, 80, of Butler went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021.
She was born Aug. 11, 1940, in Butler, and married her beloved husband, George, on Oct. 22, 1960.
Alice was a wonderful homemaker, extraordinary baker, and meticulous housekeeper. She enjoyed all the duties of being a farmer’s wife.
Alice was a member of St. Mary’s Parish, always assisting in the Lenten fish fries. She also enjoyed square dancing and volunteering with the Women’s Auxiliary at the Herman Firehall.
Most of all, her proudest accomplishment was her family, which is made up of eight children, 28 grandchildren and 28 (and counting) great-grandchildren. She cherished all of her family time, and never missed anyone’s birthday.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, George; her children, Tammy (Brian) Smith, Lori (Roger) Kennedy, Michael (Tracy) Spinneweber, David (Leslie) Spinneweber, Wayne (Tammy) Spinneweber, Jodi (Francis) Simoni, Richard Spinneweber and Rebecca Spinneweber; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; her beloved sisters, Patricia Davis, Sue (Jay) Sasse, Ruthann (Thomas) Cook and Judy (Mark) Hoffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Geraldine Zellerino; her brothers, Gene Fend and John Zellerino; and her sons-in-law, Edward Welter and Christopher Wheeler.
SPINNEWEBER — There will not be a visitation for Alice Marie Spinneweber, who died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
