Although I feel the sadness,

That you’re no longer here.

This world once full of happiness,

Has changed so much this year.

It is so broken,

I’m sure you can see.

With Covid, masks, protest and destruction,

You’re in a better place than me.

What we shared will never die,

You’re forever in my heart.

You’ve given me strength and comfort,

While we have to be apart.

Not a day goes by,

That I don’t think of you.

And now it’s been 14 years,
