Janice L. Phipps
Janice L. Phipps, 56, of Prospect passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at her residence.
Born April 19, 1961, in Butler, she was a daughter of Rita Wilbert West and the late Michael Gonda.
She was employed by NexTier Bank in the mobile banking department for 15 years.
Janice was a member of St. Christopher At The Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, crocheting and watching movies.
Surviving is her husband, Timothy J. Phipps whom she married Sept. 25, 1982, her mother, Rita Wilbert West; two daughters: Sara (Joe) Gaus of New Castle and Valerie (Tom) Masters of Ellwood City; one grandson, Louie Masters; four sisters, Mary Kay (Keith) Bell of Butler, Connie (Walter) Hinton of Mt. Airy, Md., Donna Crawford of Hilliards and Joann (Troy) Hinchberger of Prospect; one brother, Mike (Michele) Gonda of Herman; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Gonda; her stepfather, Michael West; her twin sister, June Kramer; and two grandsons, Pat and Eric Masters.
PHIPPS — Friends of Janice L. Phipps, who died Friday, June 16, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. (private) and 6 to 8 p.m. (public) Monday at the Geibel Funeral Home 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Christopher At The Lake Roman Catholic Church, 229 Franklin St., Prospect, with the Rev. Joseph Feltz, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park.
