Break-a-thons to aid hurricane victims
Students at Young Brother Tae Kwon Do schools will raise funds to benefit the Houston Food Bank and victims of Hurricane Harvey with a break-a-thon Sept. 23.
In addition to schools in Butler and Cranberry Township, Young Brothers has seven schools in the region and a number of schools in Houston.
Students gather pledges and break the number of boards corresponding with the money raised. The Butler school will conduct its break-a-thon at 11 a.m. and the Cranberry school at 12:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Donations should be made out to the Houston Food Bank and can be given to Young Brothers students or contact the Cranberry school at 20636 C Route 19, under the leadership of Masters Erik and Audrey Gavula, or the Butler school, lead by Master Timothy Curci, at 162 Point Plaza Shopping Center.
