Police from Evans City, Jackson Township, Adams Township and State Police from the Butler barracks were on the scene late Monday afternoon of an attempted suicide called into 911 by a resident of Belle Street in Evans City.

The man reportedly told 911 dispatchers he would not come out of the house, which prompted the police response. By 5 p.m., the man exited the house and was talking to officers.
