Man with local ties to perform
EVANS CITY — North Hills native Chris Jamison will perform Monday night in Los Angeles as one of the eight remaining contestants on NBC’s “The Voice.”
Jamison grew up in Ross Township, Allegheny County, but his parents, Michelle and Bryan, at one time lived in Butler.
Jamison has numerous family members — including aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents — still living in Butler County. About 40 friends and relatives have been gathering at John’s Bar in Evans City each Monday to watch him perform on television.
Jamison has advanced through auditions and three weeks of live eliminations on the show.
Each of the remaining singers will perform Monday, while two contestants will be sent home during Tuesday night’s show. Results are based on audience votes.
The show airs at 8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
