Jeeps parade for TrailFest, though heritage festival canceled this year

The Bantam 9.5 TrailFest was held over the weekend in Butler County.

Sponsored by Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association, which usually hosts the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival that was canceled this year due to the pandemic, the TrailFest included the 9.5 miles of Jeep Waves Caravan from the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport to Route 8 through Butler ending at the Route 422 intersection Friday afternoon. The event also included the Jeepers Creepers Night Crawl on the association's grounds on Kildoo Road in Portersville on Friday night and trail rides on the grounds on Saturday.

The Bantam Bash Raffle Night was at the Unionville Volunteer Fire Company Saturday evening.A two-hour trail riding session was held Sunday afternoon at the association grounds. Vendors were set up at the grounds Saturday and Sunday. The event was not publicized due to the pandemic.The 2021 Bantam Jeep festival has been scheduled for June 11-13.
