Girl scouts build small library
Girl Scouts from Troop 28843 of Butler built a small library that will allow local residents free access to books.
After the plan's approval by the Connoquenessing Borough Council, the Scouts built the Little Free Library 48082 in the Connoquenessing Park.
One of the Scout's grandfather assisted the girls with the building of the box, which operates on give and take basis.
The project benefited the Scouts as their Take-Action Project for their World of Girls Journey.
The Scouts plan to add to the library later by planting a garden, building a bench and painting a mural on the wall behind the box.
