Darren Machak of Butler graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and was awarded a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.He earned a bachelor of arts degree in industrial chemistry and business from Washington and Jefferson College in 2005.He will continue his training in a family medicine residency at Washington Hospital in Washington, Pa.Machak is the son of David and Ardie Machak of Renfrew and the husband of Ashleigh Machak, formerly of Butler.———
<B>Clinton Orloski</B> of Butler graduated cum laude from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in neuroscience and a minor in philosophy.He will attend Dartmouth Medical School in 2009 in Hanover, N.H.At the university, he was a varsity cross country and track and field athlete.His academic awards include the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, Mortar Board, the Phi Sigma honor society, and he received the Samuel Lewis Ziegler prize.He is the son of Douglas and Tammy Orloski of Butler.———<BR></BR>
<B>Tanya Nocera</B> recently graduated cum laude from Allegheny College with a degree in physics and a minor in history.She received honors recognition from the physics department upon graduation.Nocera was a member of Sigma Pi Sigma National Physics Honors Society and Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society. She also was secretary of the Society of Physics Students and recruitment vice-president of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, in addition to serving multiple semesters are a peer leader and laboratory teaching assistant within the physics department.Nocera will attend the Ohio State University to pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering.———<BR></BR>
<B>Carly Porter</B> recently graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in advertising with a business minor.At the university, she graduated with high distinction and was on the dean's list every semester.Porter is a 2006 graduate of Butler High School and the daughter of Dan Porter and Carrie and Bill Minton, all of Butler.———
<B>Justin Mohney</B> graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with honors, including the outstanding academic achievement award.He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the Tepper School of Business with a marketing track along with a history minor.Mohney's honor society inductions include Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Alpha Theta and Lambda Sigma.Mohney presented his senior thesis, "Front Office Efficiency in America's Pastime" at the Meeting of The Minds Symposium, a universitywide celebration of undergraduate research. While at the university, he was employed by the office of admission as an admission ambassador and also served as president of CM Ambassadors.A 2005 graduate of Kittanning Senior High School, Mohney is the son of Randy and Janene Mohney, and grandson of Jim and Jean Hays and Betty Mohney, all of Kittanning.Mohney accepted a position as assistant director of admission at Carnegie Mellon.———
