Today marks one year since you’ve gone home, and although I know you must have perfect peace now and surrounded by light and warmth, our time here without you hasn’t gotten any easier.

Everyday is still a shock that we can’t pick up the phone and call you, or go sit with you and have a conversation. We can’t see your silly grin or laugh at your sarcastic jokes. But we will forever remember your smile, your words of advice you would give, and the gift of your life we had for 33 years.

You were an amazing person. Heaven is lucky to have you. You are loved, thought about and spoken of everyday. Forever missed until we meet again. Our hearts are with you....
