Butler native Glenn Crytzer and his band The Syncopators perform in concert at 7 p.m. today at Butler Intermediate High School.

The Syncopators are a jazz band dedicated to the music of the 1920s, 1930s and early 1940s.

Founded in 2007, the band's musical influences include jazz greats like Benny Goodman, Fats Waller, Artie Shaw, Jelly Roll Morton, Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

Crytzer, who plays guitar and provides vocals as well as leading the group, graduated from Butler High in 1999.

Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. Half the proceeds go to the Butler Intermediate High School music program.

FOXBURG — Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts, with the help of volunteers and artisans, recently opened the Red Brick Gallery and Shop on Main Street.The gallery will host its premier art show from Saturday through Dec. 23.
