Pitt falls at Iowa, 69-68
IOWA CITY — Iowa’s Tyler Cook missed a free throw with 10 seconds left, but the Hawkeyes secured the rebound and held on for a 69-68 college basketball win over Pitt Wednesday night.
The loss was the first of the season for the Panthers (6-1). Iowa entered the game ranked No. 14 nationally.
Xavier Johnson led Pitt with 18 points with Trey McGowan adding 10.
