Laura Ann Kane
Laura Ann (Mandziara) Kane, 59, of Butler, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022.
She was the cherished mother of Jacqueline Owens (Tom Paxton), and was preceded in death by her daughters, Kayleigh, Abigail and Mallory.
She was the loving companion of David Mackin; daughter of Marge (the late William) Mandziara; and sister of Jeannine (Rick) O’Patchen, Beth (Gregg) Traverso, Marcy (Eric) Zgela and Michelle (Roger) Reitler.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Laura was a tour de force, who went through life like a cyclone, pulling everyone in her path toward her with a contagious smile, endearing laugh and welcoming nature. She loved to experiment with new recipes and considered herself a foodie. Her greatest accomplishments, however, were her daughters. She was forever proud of her oldest, Jackie, for the strong, beautiful woman she is. At the same time, she was haunted by the loss of her three daughters, a sadness she always carried with her.
Laura will be remembered as someone who could laugh at herself and make those around her at ease. She will be missed terribly by all those who knew her.
