Traffic on Route 68 was limited to one lane between Eberhart and Oakdale roads in Butler Township following a single-car crash about 12:30 p.m.

BUTLER TWP — Traffic on Route 68 opened up around 1 p.m. after being limited to one lane between Eberhart and Oakdale roads in Butler Township following a single-car crash around 12:30 p.m.

The driver, a man from Harrisville believed to be in his 30s or 40s, lost control of his Ford Fusion while eastbound. The man crossed the westbound lane and traveled off the road, hitting a tree and landing on its side, township police said. Police believe the man fell asleep at the wheel. He was taken by Butler Ambulance to an unspecified Pittsburgh Hospital with apparent minor injuries.
