Margaret Mattern

Margaret (Peggy) Eva Mattern, 80, of Economy borough, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late John and Marion (Carver) Uncapher.

She was the beloved wife for 60 years to Richard H. Mattern; the loving mother of Debra (Gary) Baacke, Shari Cole and Susan (Eric) Schubert.

Her six grandchildren, Melissa, Amy, Ryan, Holden, Natalie and Katie, and her six great-grandchildren, Logan, Deacon, Cecilia, Annaliese, Ian and Luke brought her abundant joy.

She enjoyed monthly luncheons with ladies of her 1959 graduating class of Ambridge Area High School.

She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church Lovi. She most enjoyed the love of her family.

MATTERN — Family and friends of Margaret (Peggy) Eva Mattern, who died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center for pancreatic cancer research.
