CRANBERRY TWP — A Perry Township man had a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit when he allegedly drove his girlfriend to the Cranberry Township Municipal Building for fingerprinting, police said.

Donald Reese, 38, was charged with driving under the influence after the incident on Oct. 25, 2016.

A police detective first noticed Reese’s “drunk and disorderly behavior” while his girlfriend was being fingerprinted, according to the affidavit. Another officer was notified and went out to the administrative parking lot, where Reese was leaning up against his motorcycle.

Police said Reese was visibly intoxicated, slurring his speech and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to driving to the municipal building, a claim backed up by video on township surveillance cameras.

Reese failed a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest. He submitted to a blood test at UPMC Passavant Cranberry Passavant, where he was found to have a blood-alcohol level of .293.

Reese waived his charges to county court Friday, where he will be arraigned April 24.
