Woman gets IP sentence in luring case
After being charged with luring a man with promises of sex and drugs before attacking him, a Mars woman was sentenced to the county Intermediate Punishment Program.
Amanda M. Lollo, 26, was sentenced Wednesday to 2 years in the program, with the first year on house arrest with electronic monitoring, by Judge William Shaffer.
She was ordered to continue in drug and alcohol treatment and pay court costs and $500 in restitution.
Lollo pleaded guilty June 5 to misdemeanor simple assault and theft.
She was initially charged after an incident near the Marburger Farm Dairy in Forward Township on April 29, 2017.
She was also charged alongside Morgan N. Pogel, 24, of Pittsburgh, who currently awaits further court proceedings.
State police said Lollo messaged a man on Facebook, inviting him to smoke marijuana and have sex, according to court documents. She picked him up about 2:45 a.m. at his home and drove to Mars-Evans City Road, police said, and they drove about two miles.
That is when Pogel, who was hidden in the back seat under clothing, allegedly wrapped a leather purse strap around (the man's) neck in an attempt to strangle him, according to a police affidavit.
The man struggled and was able to get the strap off his neck, and convinced the two to let him out of the car, police said.
Pogel and Lollo later “admitted that they lured” the man into the car “as part of a plan to cause him bodily harm,” the affidavit said.
Lollo pleaded to the simple assault charge in that case.
She was then charged by Adams Township police with two felony counts of forgery, six misdemeanor counts of access device fraud and one count each of theft and receiving stolen property after an incident on June 12.
Police said Lollo forged two stolen checks belonging to her mother, depositing the money into another bank account.
Additionally, according to court documents, Lollo on June 9 tried to use two of her mother's credit cards at the Walmart on Route 19 in Cranberry Township. The transactions, however, were denied.
Police said Lollo, who lives with her mother, during a June 17 interview told investigators she had no memory or knowledge of trying to use the credit cards or depositing the checks.
She pleaded guilty to the theft charge in that case.
