A lane restriction on Route 422 in Butler Township will begin at 6 p.m. Friday.

PennDOT announced that work on a bridge will affect the westbound lane between the Lyndora exit and the intersection of Route 422 and Greenwood Drive/Heinz Road.

The project should be complete on Tuesday, weather permitting.

The work will improve the skid resistance on the short bridge, according to PennDOT.

Mekis Construction Corp. of Fenelton is the contractor for the $821,826 project.
