Robert Gifford Jr.

Robert W. “Robbie” Gifford Jr., 60, of Karns City, a well-known and talented area musician, left us for Heaven unexpectedly of natural causes on Monday morning, Nov. 1, 2021, at his home.

Robert was born in Butler on Aug. 29, 1961. He was the son of Robert W. Gifford Sr. of New Castle, formerly of Karns City, and the late Jacqueline E. Smith Gifford.

Rob was a Christian, and was a member of the Karns City Class of 1979.

He was a musician and a talented singer/song writer. He enjoyed cooking and baking and the company of “Jack,” his dog.

In addition to his father, Robbie is survived by his husband of 23 years, Tom Sylvester of Karns City; three sisters, Linda J. Fleeger and her husband, James, of Valencia, Bonnie E. Douglass and her husband, Dave, of Emlenton, and Ruth A. Mastropietro and her husband, Joseph, of New Castle.

GIFFORD — There will be no public service for Robert W. “Robbie” Gifford Jr., who died Monday, Nov. 1, 2021.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City.
